This is currently the only Languages Roadshow PD event planned for 2023, so don't miss your chance to join us!

Coffs Harbour 2021

This event was tailored specifically to the needs of regional NSW teachers, with educators joining us from all over the Coffs Coast, North Coast, Mid-North Coast and New England Tableland areas. We had a heartfelt keynote from Gabbie Stroud, a CLIL session with Kelly Harrison and highly insightful presentations from speech pathologist Liz Bailey and local Gumbaynggirr language revitalisation champion, Clark Webb. Languages Roadshow is based just up the highway from Coffs Harbour, so we love being able to run events in our home area.

Townsville and Cairns 2021

The teachers at our North Queensland events were amazing! It was such a pleasure to give regional Languages teachers a chance to connect and share ideas. Our NQ events featured some of our best sessions from our 2019 and 2020 programs plus the addition of some brainstorming sessions and an incredibly useful presentation from Speech and Language Development Australia (SALDA), designed to help Languages teachers better support students with communication disorders. Our Townsville event sold out and our Cairns venue was the most luxurious PD venue on earth – we can’t wait to go back.

Brisbane 2020

Sold out event, with over 100 teachers in attendance. Gabbie Stroud delivered a powerful keynote and this was followed up by workshops on CLIL and overseas school trips. As always, the catering from Factory 51 was second to none and this event saw the launch of the ImmerseMe-mosa morning tea cocktail.

Brisbane 2019

Our first Languages Roadshow event, with our 80 teachers in attendance. This launch event was held at Factory 51 in Coorparoo and the program included a keynote from Julian Mather, a session on CLIL, presentations from Scott Cardwell from ImmerseMe, Dr Peter Grainger and Susan Barry and a workshop on the new senior Languages syllabus. The buzz in the room that day was unforgettable.

Lismore 2019

Our first regional NSW event, this workshop day but was small but mighty! We had such an amazing group of engaged teachers who were all captivated by the keynote from Katie Iles around how to best cater to Generation Z. We also took a deep dive on CLIL and workshopped some great ideas. To top it off, the catering at Southern Cross Uni was A+.

Sunshine Coast 2019

Over 40 teachers attended this beachside event, with the program following the same format at the Brisbane 2019 event. Sunshine Coast teachers told us they wanted a Languages Roadshow event to come to them and we were excited to deliver that.
