Version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum is here

The new documents have been released for Japanese, French, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Indonesian and German. Implementation will vary state to state, but for now the most important thing is getting your head around what’s changed and what those changes could mean for your program.

  • a summary of the key changes
  • an achievement standard alignment document comparing Version 8.4 and 9.0 that will allow you to determine how your programs and assessments may need to change
  • an achievement standard alignment document that draws parallels between the new content descriptors and the new achievement standards


This pack will save you hours of mucking around. The Alignment Pack clearly lays out the changes to allow you to start considering what adjustments you will have to make (or what your program will need to look like, if you are starting from scratch).

STEP TWO:
Purchase the recording of our Australian Curriculum Webinar - $45

The feedback from this event was super positive - teachers loved that it was hands on, full of ideas and allowed them to get familiar with what's available on the V9.0 ACARA website. 


Once you place your order, you'll be sent access instructions to view the recording and the associated resources.

STEP THREE:
Coming soon - Australian Curriculum Golden Opportunity Pack

This resource pack will focus on innovative, engaging ways to deliver the Languages curriculum. Yes, you may be able to get away with not making too many radical changes, but what if deep down you know things could be changed for the better? Maybe this is that golden opportunity.

STEP FOUR:
If you are looking for Australian Curriculum aligned resources that are fully developed in the target language, take a look at our Content and Language Integrated Learning resource packs.

Finally, if you are new to teaching Languages or are just generally feeling overwhelmed by all this, we also run one-on-one online sessions. One of our experienced Languages teachers can sit down with you (virtually) and answer any questions or concerns you have about implementing the new curriculum. 

These sessions cost $250 and include:

  • a pre-session consultation with Languages Roadshow founder Kelly (either via phone or email) to determine how we can best help.
  • 45 minute Zoom call with one of our team members to talk through your questions
  • Follow up email / call to check in later in the term to see what other questions have arisen.


This sort of call would particularly help if you are:

  • an early career teacher
  • new to teaching Languages
  • the only Languages teacher at your school


We can invoice your school or you personally. This totally counts as PD so we can also write you a certificate for your records (and also so you can claim the cost on tax).
